At the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show that opened today, the Lexus LF-ZC concept car officially made its debut. Lexus officials stated that a production model based on this new concept car is planned to be launched in 2026.

In terms of styling, the new car takes "simple tension" as the design theme and presents a highly impactful appearance through smooth and exquisite design. The new car takes advantage of the characteristics and structure of pure electric vehicles and incorporates aerodynamic elements, so that the vehicle takes into account both aerodynamic performance and design aesthetics. The spindle-shaped body design highlights elegant and smooth lines, which continuously narrow from the low hood to the rear of the car, highlighting the outward expansion of the rear wheels.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4750/1880/1390mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm. It is positioned as a medium-sized pure electric sedan. At the rear, the new car adopts the through-type taillight design like the LF-ZL concept car, but the rear surround design is much lower-key than the LF-ZL concept car.

In terms of interior, the new car adopts the "Bamboo CMF Concept". A variety of bamboo element designs are incorporated into the cockpit, such as bamboo fiber woven facings and bamboo silk fabrics, demonstrating Oriental luxury and aesthetics. At the same time, it also highlights the concept of sustainable development. In addition, this concept car is also equipped with a Direct4 four-wheel drive system and steer-by-wire for "linear steering feeling".

In terms of power, the new car is likely to be equipped with Toyota's next-generation high-performance lithium-ion battery, which will be put into production in 2026. It has a cruising range of 800 kilometers and can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes. It is reported that Toyota will also launch higher-performance lithium-ion batteries in 2027-2028, which can achieve a pure electric range of more than 1,000 kilometers and charge from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes.
