On March 25, Volvo Cars announced that its pure electric MPV Volvo EM90 has officially started delivery. Volvo EM90 will be launched on November 12, 2023, priced at 818,000 yuan. On February 6, 2024, the first mass-produced Volvo EM90 car officially rolled off the assembly line. As the Volvo brand's first pure electric MPV, the EM90 follows many family-style design languages and is equipped with a 116kW battery with a CLTC comprehensive cruising range of 738km.
The front face of the new car adopts classic family design elements, and the closed grille proves its pure electric identity. The new car is also equipped with Volvo's iconic Thor's Hammer headlights. At the same time, large-size triangular vents are also used on both sides of the front bumper of the new car, which enhances the dynamic atmosphere of the front face. The new car is also equipped with a luminous Volvo brand LOGO.
Volvo EM90 adopts the very popular suspension vehicle design. The black window frame, black rearview mirrors and dynamic multi-spoke wheels add a touch of dynamics to the side. At the rear, the new car"s taillights also adopt the family's iconic Thor's hammer shape, and the VOLVO letter logo in the center can be lit together, improving the overall recognition of the tail. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5206/2024/1859mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3205mm.
Coming to the interior, Volvo EM90 adopts a relatively simple interior design style. The center console is equipped with a large floating central control screen, and most operating functions should be integrated into the central control screen. The interior adopts a 6-seater layout, of which the second row has independent seats, including second-row entertainment screens and small tables, which are also equipped in the new car.
Volvo EM90 adopts a high-strength cage body design. The body is made of a variety of high-strength steels including boron steel, which can effectively reduce the damage that may be caused by an accident. Multiple airbags are installed around the cabin to protect the safety of passengers in all aspects.
