Bentley Motors recently stated that its new engineering testing center has been completed and put into use in the UK.
Information shows that the test center was approved by the British Automotive Certification Agency, marking an important step towards Bentley's electrification goal. It is reported that Bentley’s new test center will also be used to carry out WLTP internal emissions testing, fuel economy testing, etc.
The new test center is two floors high, covering an area of 4,600 square meters, costing 12.5 million pounds to build, and has been put into use. It can test the exhaust emissions of models with different slopes and different displacements by simulating rolling roads. It can also test the energy consumption of hybrid models and future pure electric models.
For reference, Bentley has previously released relevant plans. It plans that all models will be pure electric or electrified models by 2024.
