On August 28, 2024, SAIC-GM-Wuling’s 2 millionth new energy vehicle, Wuling Starlight S, officially rolled off the assembly line at the SAIC-GM-Wuling Jingyi Intelligent Manufacturing Plant at the Baojun base in Liuzhou, Guangxi.

In recent years, Wuling Motors has created many popular new energy products. For example, the cumulative sales of Hongguang MINI EV have exceeded 1.3 million units so far, achieving the first "million" milestone for new energy vehicles. Subsequently, Wuling Motors also launched many best-selling products such as Bingo and Xingguang.

The model that rolled off the production line this time is the Starlight S, which is positioned as a large-space SUV for families. The vehicle size is 4745mm*1890mm*1680mm and the wheelbase is 2800mm.

Wuling Starlight S offers two power options. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 78 kilowatts and a motor with a maximum power of 150 kilowatts. Officially, the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 3.9L/100km (NEDC Working conditions), the CLTC pure electric cruising range is 60 kilometers and 130 kilometers respectively, and the comprehensive cruising range on full fuel and full power exceeds 1,100 kilometers.

The pure electric version has a maximum motor power of 150 kilowatts. It uses a single motor and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a battery capacity of 60kW·h and a CLTC pure electric range of 510 kilometers.
