Preface: This time, the single-person bicycle started from Beijing and drove 5,600 kilometers to Lugu Lake in Yunnan.
Saving money:
1: Only choose Weilai for self-driving electric vehicles. The battery swapping method is fast and convenient.
2: There is no slumping on the highway, and there is not even any range anxiety.
3: There is no slow charging AC port, which is quite troublesome. It cannot be used for cooking or charging in scenic hotels.
4: Weilai car navigation planning route point operation is anti-human. It must be done one by one in the order of advancement, and the planning order cannot be adjusted.
5: There are serious queues at high-speed charging piles during the day, but the situation eases at night, while the situation at gas stations is opposite. There was a queue for battery replacement in Xichang along the way, but otherwise the journey was smooth
6: The ideal car owner and the BYD dmi car owner were fighting over the charging pile. At the same time, the et5 car owner was charging without changing the battery. I don’t know why it was so cute.
7: NOP+ helped me drive 3,100 kilometers along the way, saving me once and almost sending me away once. Because it is currently impossible to identify objects other than calibrated objects such as cars, people, piles and barrels.
8: This trip consumed a total of 1208 kilowatt hours of electricity. Among them, I replaced the battery 22 times for free, and recharged it three times at my own expense to complete this self-driving trip. After three recharges, I could also use the off-site power recharging privilege, and the cost of recharging the battery for 6,000 kilometers was 0 yuan. A fuel vehicle will cost 4,128 yuan based on 8l/100km 95# fuel consumption.
9: There is still a lot of room for improvement in car and machine nop.
10: Buy the most ideal ones. L8 is the most popular (max version with lidar), followed by one, and finally L9.
What do you need for a quick trip? one person! A cup of coffee! A car! There are also a bunch of power swap stations!
That’s right, I drove an electric car that didn’t have to worry about finding charging stations, the NIO ET7!
This is a trip without a destination. I only know that I have to go back to Beijing to move bricks on the ninth day of the Lunar New Year. I only know that I have to go all the way south, away from the cold north. This was supposed to be a reunion Spring Festival, but I was always on the road. I chose to set off on New Year’s Day to get ahead of the traffic and avoid possible congestion. As for the expressway fee, as long as you get off the expressway during the free period (the same goes for the return trip).
(To prevent you from stealing the cards, replace them with paper ones. I heard that these are not cheap)
DAY.1:
The first stop, New Year's Eve, Beijing-Xi'an, a total distance of 1148 kilometers, including the use of 5 batteries on the way out, consumed 274 kilowatt-hours of electricity (64% of the starting electricity), and the average power consumption was 26.1kWh/100km . Because it involves climbing a steep slope, the altitude rose to 957m in the Meng County service area.
(The altitude curve matches the power consumption curve)
According to the law of conservation of energy, what goes up must go down. After electricity is converted into gravitational potential energy, it will be returned to me in the form of speed-kinetic energy recovery-electric energy. This follow-up is most obvious when climbing over mountains. But looking at the double-digit estimated battery life, I was really confused.
During this trip, I basically ran at the maximum speed limit. When the speed is above 100, the ET7 will lower the footprint, reduce air resistance and reduce energy consumption. This is the energy consumption graph of my 130. Moreover, NIO’s high-speed battery replacement during the Spring Festival is free. And I have nop+ to protect me throughout the journey. With the same energy consumption, I can keep changing the battery three times and taking two breaks to reduce the time consumption on the road as much as possible. It should be noted here that nop can only be used in good conditions. If you encounter heavy fog, you must slow down and drive by yourself. Whether it is a vision camera or lidar, they all rely on "light" to work. At this time nop will exit at any time, so be sure to pay attention to safety.
(nop+auxiliary)
And what is certain is that NIO’s estimated battery life is very reliable. As long as the speed is stable, it will be no problem. There are also two average power consumption displays for 10km and 100km in the car settings, which can estimate the cruising range in real time according to your road conditions (remaining power of the vehicle * battery capacity / average power consumption)
(It was already New Year’s Eve when we arrived in Xi’an)
DAY.2:
When you arrive in Xi'an, there are two places you must visit, Datang Lighting Market and Snack Street. en I went, but because it was New Year's Eve, there weren't that many people there, but I heard from friends who arrived later that that person was there. . . .
However, for a Beijinger, setting off firecrackers is the most attractive thing to me. I don’t know how long it has been since I watched a fireworks show. When I came to Xi’an this time, the most touching thing was that I encountered a grand fireworks show. The fireworks show, the dark night lit up by "thousands of flowers", even the air is filled with a strong flavor of the New Year. This is a romantic feast given to us by the people of Xi'an.
After a simple meal of mutton steamed buns, with New Year's blessings, I continued to set off to the next destination, Chengdu (eating my mother's rabbit head in the Year of the Rabbit)
Here I have to complain about the path planning of NIO’s vehicles: it is impossible to choose the order of arrival of way points. If you set a way point in the middle, when you want to add some resources before the way point, the vehicle must first reach the first set way point, and then go to the added battery swap station.
Of course, there is a solution, that is, bookmark the battery-swapping stations you want to go to, then select the destination and add the route points at once. . . This is all we can do. Moreover, the route I saw on the car was different from the route planned by adding a map on my phone. This problem has been bothering me during this 6,000-kilometer trip. Every time I set off, I have to waste 10-15 minutes setting up the navigation.
This time, the more than 700 kilometers from Xi'an to Chengdu also included a steep climb. When the speed limit is 80, the power consumption reaches 40kWh/100km... Fortunately, Baidu arrived in Chengdu in advance and the altitude is only about 500, which means that this section of the road will inevitably go down, so I don't need to recharge when passing by the service area. ps: In fact, the battery life is actually estimated to not reach the battery replacement station. . .
DAY.3:
On the first day of the Lunar New Year, I arrived in Chengdu and had the spicy hot pot that I have always dreamed of. I really recommend this restaurant, for no other reason than that the owner was still open on the first day of the Lunar New Year and accommodated me, a foodie.
(Uncle He Ping Market Hot Pot)
Of course, I also want to diss this Lao Ma Ho Hoa. The rating is really high. I had it before on a business trip and it was really delicious. But after queuing for an hour, there was no movement in the queue. . . . How can there be so many people. In the end, the pork sausage rolled with green onions gave me the energy to go to the next restaurant.
After finishing the hot pot, I sat on the toilet and thought about where to go next. Vacation time is comingHalfway through, Daocheng Yading was afraid of hiking, and he didn’t bring snow chains. At this time, I suddenly remembered the story of a car owner’s B&B on NIO DAY 2020, and immediately determined the destination, Lugu Lake-Qianshanji B&B.
Such an expensive (expensive) hotel
Of course, it’s impossible to book a room one day in advance during holidays, but they have NIO’s destination fast charging station (20kW)
This is one of the few fast charging stations in Lugu Lake. Here we have to complain about the fact that the Weilai NT2.0 platform does not have a slow charging port. If you want to connect to the 220v mains power for recharging, you need to rent an all-in-one charging and discharging machine. It takes up a lot of space. This makes the already small trunk even worse. Moreover, this thing can only be rented for 167 yuan/week, and there is still no release date.
DAY.4:
At 4 o'clock in the morning, I set off from Chengdu.
Although the journey to Lugu Lake is only 700 kilometers, the altitude rises to 3000m and takes 13 hours of driving.
Here is a little knowledge point, which is the construction of the "Sky Road" at a cost of 20.6 billion: a double helix tunnel. This can be regarded as an "unparalleled project" in the history of human architecture. On average, every time you build 1 kilometer forward, the altitude will rise by 7.5 meters, until it climbs from 700 meters above sea level to 2200 meters above sea level. Of course, power consumption also breaks down here.
On the way, we passed by Ya'an, a city shrouded in clouds and mist. This is a city surrounded by mountains. It is also the city farthest from the sea, with the smallest temperature difference and the most precipitation. It is also a transition zone between modern city and primitive nature. It rains 200 of the 365 days a year, and this time is no exception. However, when I opened the Little Red Book, a bunch of natural scenic spots came into view. Suddenly, a strange ancient town appeared in the search box: Wangyu Ancient Town. It is only 40 kilometers away from my hotel, but it takes 3 hours to drive. There is no commercial atmosphere, no tourism, and no direct roads. Even because it is located in a geological disaster area, we don’t know when it will disappear. . Various social media said that it was not worth traveling for him, and that the 800m of street was all his "possessions". To be honest, I visited too many so-called "ancient towns" and was really disappointed. Most of them were antique buildings that were later rebuilt. But when I arrived, I felt that it was all worth it.
Here you can really stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are no noisy hawkers and no restaurants soliciting customers. Everything is so quiet. After climbing dozens of stone steps, a very ancient street appeared in front of us, unadorned and completely displayed to us.In front of me, it was raining that day. The moss growing on the mottled stone road was slippery. The ancient wooden buildings stood irregularly beside the path. It was more like an ancient street than an ancient town. However, in this simple ancient street, there is a cafe in the town. That day, the boss and I were sitting in front of the fire, drinking coffee and eating roasted oranges. During our chat, I felt his love for life.
Heavy fog, light rain, and 0-degree outdoor weather made this 300-kilometer high-speed drive thrilling enough. I even turned on the car's snow mode to enhance vehicle stability and prevent sliding. At this time, the biggest threat is often not yourself, but other drivers. You can only look at the rearview mirror at any time and seize the opportunity to run away.
But this is also the reason why I like self-driving and nature. After passing the Nibashan Tunnel, the weather suddenly became clearer. It cannot be said that there are some differences, it can only be said that they are completely irrelevant. The temperature quickly dropped below freezing, but the sky was clear and we even saw snow-capped mountains.
There are also electric vehicles lying around after more than 3 hours of climbing and electric vehicles waiting in line to charge. There are four charging piles with a total of 12 waiting electric vehicles. It is expected that the last car will not be charged until 3 hours at the fastest, which is really worrying. Of course, I still had 50 kilometers to go to the Xichang battery swapping station. I was not anxious at all. I took two photos of the snow-capped mountains and moved on.
After Xichang Battery Swapping Station, it is 300 kilometers and 7 and a half hours of driving on mountain roads, so for safety reasons, the mountain road driving must be completed before dark to reach the destination. I didn’t dare to stay longer in Xichang.
Because although the temperature in the mountains is 20 degrees during the day, at night, the temperature is so low that there is frost. ps: The door is not frozen, don’t worry.
What is the concept of climbing from 1000m to 3000m! My ET7 is equipped with a 100-degree battery, so I only have to find a nanny car after running 150 kilometers! ! As for the people, they also had oxygen tubes inserted. .
But the advantage of electric vehicles on mountain roads is that there is no need for mechanical brakes when going down steep slopes, and kinetic energy recovery can help you complete most of the deceleration. Even when some villagers sprayed the brakes of passing cars with water on the roadside, I wanted to express my gratitude. Not at all. Here's a little trick. If you feel like your electric car can't climb up, turn around immediately. Maybe you can slide back to the original charging station! ! ! !
Have you never seen -18kWh per 100 kilometers? This is my energy consumption on the way back down the mountain!
This section of the road can be regarded as the most dangerous 1,400 kilometers of the trip, and it was walked twice, once and back, and there was no nop assistance throughout the entire journey. Of course nop is not omnipotent. Its system calibration only recognizes cars, people and cones.bucket. Others, such as warning signs and objects left on the road, have no reaction at all.
After four days of traveling 2,700 kilometers, I finally arrived at Lugu Lake in Yunnan from Beijing. The moment I plugged in the fast-charging gun, I knew that this trip had reached the farthest point.
(The benefit of powering up in another place is free of charge)
I saw the starry sky in Lugu Lake and ate the fish in Lugu Lake, but I couldn’t take anything with me. Everything here can really only be felt by experiencing it personally. I sat in et7, folded the seat flat, and looked up at the stars through the panoramic canopy. I felt that this trip was not in vain.
After two days of oxygen inhalation, my physical strength has almost recovered, but it’s time to say goodbye to it all. Along the way, I celebrated the New Year with the battery replacement guy and competed with NIO car owners for batteries and NOP+ for the steering wheel. Perhaps the unknown at every step is the purpose of travel. If we say that the 2,700 kilometers of the journey is to feel the power of nature. Then the 2,700 kilometers of the return trip allowed me to experience more human feelings and sophistication. Whether Ideal ONE car owners and BYD dmi car owners are fighting over charging stations, or in the service area, I live and cook with the charging car owners. Or, I was forced to enter the service area by a queue of fuel trucks. Sometimes travel is like this, everything is unknown and everything is strange.
Write at the end:
The end of my eight-day, 6,000-kilometer journey south allowed me to take a break from the busy schedule of urban life. The climate here is suitable and the scenery is charming. It is the "distance" I yearn for. The NIO ET7 that accompanied me along the way also made this journey more comfortable and secure. The large interior space allowed me to comfortably recover in the rest area. The smart nomi helped me complete many secondary operations in the car, freeing up my hands. Driving with peace of mind; the complete battery swapping system also allows me to have no anxiety about recharging energy during the whole process, and can even replenish energy faster than a fuel vehicle during peak hours; the nop with lidar assistance can also help me reduce some fatigue and tension while driving feel. The journey is not only about the destination, but also about the scenery and feelings along the way. The music, comfort, and intelligent companionship from the vehicle also make the unknown journey even better. One thing is certain: the future comes from NIO!
